Dr. Gregory House
Born 21^st December, 1959 to John and Blythe House in Ohio. Studied medicine and completed graduate programme at University of Michigan (circa. 1977). Met Lisa Cuddy through Michigan. He and Cuddy had a night together where "he gave her everything", though it's never stated when this happened. Began residency at John Hopkins in 1984, offered a Doyle Internship, but was expelled by the Dean in 1986 for cheating off fellow student, Philip Weber. Completed double specialty in Diagnostics and Nephrology in 1989. Met Wilson, his best friend, around this time.

Met first and only serious girlfriend, Stacy, in 1995. Lived with her for five years. Misdiagnosed infarction to his right thigh in the summer of 2000 left House crippled and in permanent pain. He has had to rely on Vicodin for pain relief ever since. Relationship with Stacy ended in the winter of 2001 during his rehabilitation. He accepted a job at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital around the same time. Lisa Cuddy helped House establish Department of Diagnostic Medicine through Internal Medicine in 2004. Hired Chase, Cameron and Foreman to be part of his fellowship team within six months of each other. End of 2006, Stacy returned with her new husband, requesting House's help to cure him. She left again in February 2006 after House spent a night with her. May of 2006, House was shot in the stomach and neck by a disgruntled patient.

Underwent ketamine treatment under the supervision of Cuddy, which ended up failing. House was put under investigation by Det. Michael Tritter during the fall of 2006 for drug possession and forgery, narrowly escaping conviction when Cuddy committed perjury on his behalf. Spring 2006, he fired Chase and the rest of his team resigned. Took on a new fellowship by means of "eradication", committing Taub, Kutner and Hadley to the team. 2007, Wilson entered a relationship with Amber Volakis, a member of House's team who was fired. In the summer of 2008, House was in a bus crash with Amber and found himself in a race against time to save her life. She died of complications he was unable to cure.

Appearance
Height: 6'2".
Frame: Tall, somewhat lanky frame, and relatively well-toned in the upper body.
Eyes: Blue.
Hair: Brown; graying.
Defining Marks and Traits: House has a dime-sized scar on the right-hand side of his neck, a bullet wound from when he was shot by a disgruntled spouse of one of House’s former patients. He has large, disfiguring scarring on his right thigh from where he underwent debridement to remove necrotic muscle when he was struck down with a thrombatic infarction. He has a five o’clock shadow/scruff. He cares little for clothing appearance, and is usually wearing a t-shirt (often times with a [un-ironed] dress shirt over the top) with jeans, occasionally trousers, and a jacket. Very rarely does House dress smartly, and even though he’s a doctor, he never wears his lab coat - unless there’s a very good impetus. He wears Nike shoes, sports a wooden lacquered cane and he never brushes his hair.

House has a prominent limp, favoring his left leg due to the lack of muscle in his right thigh. He can bear little to almost no weight on his right leg, and can only walk short distances unaided with his cane. House has a very sharp wit and an equally sharp tongue. He tends to talk a lot in metaphors. He’s not always sharp and caustic, though - there are times when House is very subdued and introspective; usually when he’s depressed or in pain. These are times when he’s most unpredictable, because he can unexpectedly snap if aggravated. He can speak Spanish on a basic level, and speaks some Mandarin (albeit badly) and some self-taught phrases in Hindi.
